A while back I was on the computer, and it just died. I found the fan in the PSU had went out,and fried the PSU. So I replaced it.All is well, went to sleep leaving it on,and the next morning it's just tryingto restart over and over.
SO now all it will do is all the fans come on for about 2 seconds, and then shut off, but the power leds on the MOBO stay on,as well as the power light on the case.If I hold in the power button it will turn off,and then the same thing next time I power it up.I have tried 3 different PSUs and all of them act the same.
I just replaced this motherboard 3 months before this (no warranty) so did the PSU take out the MOBO again?Could it be the CPU?
Regardless, I'm buying a new PSU,which would you think is bad MOBO or CPU?

Chaintek MOBO
Athalon 750 socket A CPU
Windows XP
CD-RW and CD-ROM
4x nvidia Vanta LT Video
everyting else on board

The ram works in the other computer, so that's not it.
Sometimes it will show the BIOS string on the video card before it shuts off, most times not.

Thanx

Very strange Brainchild. It is a possibility that when the psu went it could have sent a voltage spike which could have damaged the mobo and even possibility the cpu. But with what your describing I'm thinking you might have lost the mobo (ie damaged caps, vrm) ect. :(

Out of curiosity what size psu you using?

I had a 250Watt in it at the time, and it was a year old. This makes MOBO #2 it's taken out though.
