For some odd reason no matter how many times I install Photoshop 6 it won't work in XP.. the Icon is one of those DOS application icons and when I click on it I get an error that says "Photoshop.exe is not a valid Win32 application"
any ideas???

I can only think of a few reasons...
--The installation CD-ROM may be dirty or damaged.
--A program running in the background may interfere with the installation process.
--Microsoft Access Data Components (MDAC) may not be installed properly.
--Microsoft Internet Explorer may be damaged or not installed properly.
Make sure ur CD-ROM is clean, re-install IE, uninstall Photoshop and remove any files that weren't removed during the uninstallation...then try a clean install w/o any programs running in the background.
Other than that I'd try getting help from a Microsoft Support Professional HERE (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=%2fdefault.aspx%3fscid%3dfh%3bEN-US%3bINCIDENTSUBMIT)

Also make sure your "user" has admin rights

I have admin. rights.... I think that my disk is damaged because my friend has no probs installing it on XP with his disk..
Yeah, Photoshop 6 is quite compatible on XP...
