I'll have to take some pics here soon and post them. Yeah, that Radeon really improved alot of features. I haven't been an ATI fan but I tried it out and I have to say I am pleased with the card. The only downfall about the Radeon: I had to pull the HSF off and remove the shim they supplied around the GPU and apply the Artic Silver III to get the temps down on the card. It comes with a shim and a bunch of thermal past/compound to take up the gap between the HSF and the GPU. Card ran very hot. Much better without the shim and the ASIII.

Very nice system sweeper!

Could you do me a favour, could you post a link to you 3dmarks as I have the same system as you (basically) but you are benching alot more than me and that might help me to find out what is slow.

thanks

keith

512 OCZ DDR333 @ 2x200=400MHz 2.8v
Radeon 9700 Pro (348/656) 1.8v

Hey sweeper...nice rig.

What you need to do is get the Zalman heatsink for that card. I put one on my 9700 Pro and it runs dead stable at 400/350 where before it would die at anything over 370/340.

Volt mods are in now...but it's a heck of a jump from just controlling temp of the VPU.

Are you refering to one of these, BBA?
