you're running an AMD XP 1800+ chip. I'm just curious how much of a difference we'll see from different people...

Here's mine. Both running at 49C with both processors maxed out running Dnet...

Not maxed out... but looks like it's time for me to vacuum ;)

BIG diff in the DDR and AGP.. why do you think, NDC?

Here's mine under normal usage...

dang I better vac out this sucka :o lol

you be showing off .. I wanna see your BEFORE VAC heat lol

Yeah, that is interesting how your memory and AGP as well and the VRM's are running much hotter ...

Maybe it has to with the 120mm case-top exhaust fan?

hmm.. well, I'm running a G400MAX stock retail..

what does the VRM do?

** top fan u got? could be... but I'm running with the side off mine... ambient temp right now is +/- perhaps 68-70*

No, not at all... ;)

I'm just curious because my chips seem to run hotter than most people posting. If you want to talk about a cool running system without special mods is my dual Penitum 3 1Ghz system. Thing never gets over 30C whatever you throw at it! :)

;) lol.. the Pentium I have left is running my webserver.. it's my good ol' 450 that used to OC at 600.. remember those days? :) In fact, it's the one I swapped with BBA lol

Yeah, I used to overclock whatever I could when I was into it. Now I don't overclock any of my systems. I had pretty good luck with a few of my systems without spending extra money to cool it down.

I had my T-Bird 1Ghz @ 1.4Ghz with a GlobalWin WBK-38 Heatsink and a Celeron 700Mhz @ 945Mhz with stock Intel heatsink and fan. As for the VP6 dual 1Ghz and the Tyan Dual 850Mhz, they were pretty sad overclockers.

Hey...I still have the old 450 you swapped me Socal...it's still kickin too!

BTW: I clock the heck out of mine, and found the coolest I can run with a heatsink is usually with the stock heatsink and a copper heat spreader plate under the heat sink. My OC'd P4 2.0 at 2.7 runs pretty much at 38-42ºc depending on cpu load with that setup.

*Edit* Nevermind I found it on their website :D

Yeah, Tyan SysMon is available for just about all their recent boards... :)

Mine is running a bit too hot!
Just stock fans on the MP2000's, running full load

Not really Smokin.... I run right about 59*C in my MP2000's on my Gigabyte system

That's good to know

Yep, that's right around where the dual 2000MP's run at on the newly built system. I run the TT Vocano like yours Mntsnow. I like the way it's quieter than my CAK-II 68 copper heatsinks, but the size and weight is the downside. I noticed the CAK-II 68 to run the processors 6~8C cooler and the heatsinks don't sit so close to the mainboard components! ;)
