Cable Speeds?

:confused: Guys, I'm still confused on what is considered good, bad, etc... speeds on cable.Perhaps maybe some of the more experienced cable users could fill me in, please!!

I pay for the 400 Kbps down 128 Kbps up and on severarl speed test I get closer to 500-525 Kbps down. I don't know if that's good or not but for less than $30 a month I figured it would be better than dail up and it is uncomparable :) I will never go back now.
