Hi guys,
New to the forum. But not to O/Cing!
Have a weird power off problem that I can't seem to fix.
Tried AMDMB.com but no go there!
So here goes;
First off I am running my 2400+ at 2100 (10.5 x 200)
Solid as can be. Almost satisfied :)
I am using 1.825 volt on Vcore
Agp and mem are default.
I can boot and run at 2200 (11 x 200) no problem
However Prime will lock the system so I raise voltage to 1.850 and it locks again. Then to 1.875. This is where it happens. System completely powers off and so hard that I have to pull the plug to restart!! What's up with that?
I have an SK-6 on the CPU and it don't get to over 48 cel
Also the High temp is disabled in bios.
I also have a thing called thermal throttling and it's disabled.
Here's specs:

Case:Antec SX830 improved with 350watt Enermax
Motherboard: Epox 8RDA+ with C31 bios
CPU: AMD2400+@2100
Graphics:Radeon9500Pro 310/310
Memory: 2 X 256 Corsair PC3200
Hard drive: Seagate 80 gig
CDRom: 48X panasonic
FD: 1.44 panasonic
Network: Onboard
Sound: Onboard
Speakers: Klipsch 4.1
Monitor: Mag Innovision 810 FD
OS Window XP Pro
3DMark2001: 14198

Can someone help with this? Please.
bugging me something awful.
I bought a 350 watt Enemax to boost power from the 300 watt Antec and it dont do any good.

Thanx all.

just out of curosity why not run the chip at it's default setting of 266 x 7.5 ? The Higher FSB will give you more performance than the higher multiplier. Then you wont have to push the voltages either.

But to answer your question I would maybe suspect that you are not getting accurate temp readings and the chip is infact overheating and on the verge of eating it's self.

I tend to agree with Mntsnow.
