I have done a format and re-install on my comp (winME). It seems that I am having trouble with the new nvidia drivers (41.09). They seem to install, but upon reboot, the computer locks up before actually loading windows (after the splash screen). Has anyone else had problems with these drivers?

I am going to download the 30.82 drivers...

No more Nvidia users out there? Everyone went out and bought a Radeon 9700 Pro for themselves, didn't they? Everyone always has to leave me in the dust, don't they? Are three useless questions enough for one post? Was that another question that I just asked? (Am I doing it again?)

I guess this was just a really lame way for me to say **bump**

(Or was it?)

Did you disable your antivirus before your install like it warns about? I would suggest going to safe mode and uninstalling your video driver, reboot, boot back to safe mode and install the Nvidea driver again.

(it was)

Yeah, rpreacher, that's exactly what I did...I am running the 30.82 Detonators right now. It seems that the 40.xx version gives me random lockups and the 41.xx version is as described. I was just wondering if it was more specific to my card (a PNY GeForce 3 Ti-500, not OC'd) or if everyone was having problems with the new drivers. I did some searching on the 'net and found that a lot of people are complaining about the performance of the driver, but nothing really specific.

Thanks, though....and BTW, the "Or was it" was really a rhetorical question...:D :) :p
