Something wants to ruin your day!

I had just got cable hooked back up because the DirectvDSL is going under...because they had a special on service $19.95/mo x3 then 45/mo...etc...etc..etc... It installed and worked perfectly, I thought I had made out.

Well, tonight I got home and started up gamespy...not a single ping under 90! Most were 200's!!! I thought...oh well, I'll see how it plays.

So, I hooked the DSL back up...the list of pings in the 60's was two pages long and games played great again!

Now I guess I'll drop the cable modem off tomorrow and cancel the thing...and I'm going to cancel cable TV as well. Looks like I'll go with a sattellite for TV ( since I saw a special $25/mo sattellite with local channels included ) and I'll just go with another brand of DSL. The funny thing is I'll spend more total money for any other DSL...but when it comes to pings and games...don't mess with me!!!

I never really had any problems with Bellsouth ADSL.

We just got a dish (dish network) and I am very impressed with all the cool channels they now have.

Well...I ordered BS today. They have a good special, free ethernet modem, free activation, $19/mo for three months and $45/mo thereafter for the remainder of a year. The modem does PPPOE internally, so no software client is needed and I get a $50 credit just for moving from DirectvDSL over to BS and ordering online.

Now I have to find the best deal on satellite systems.

I really hate satelite. Sorry but that's my opinion. I was with Time Warner for many years but when I moved I had to get satelite. I went with Dish for the first year and hated it. So the next year I went with Direct TV. I hated it too but it was better than Dish. They ran cable through a few months a go but I have to wait until my year is up to change. :(

What I hate the most is waiting for the channels to change. sometimes 3-4 seconds. Then the menu will sometimes not go away and I have to clear it to see what is playing. Also rain fade it bad. Dish was the worst for that but DTV has been much better.
