first off
i'm running windows 2000 professional,450 PII, 256 ram.

ok since last week, i've been getting this weird internet explorer problem. i can browse sites and all fine, but then say i want to login into hotmail, yahoo, techimo or do a search @ altavista... i type in what i want to type in and then it freezes on me... i dunno what is causing the problem...i have to ctrl-alt-dlt the program...

now with outlook express it's just weird...since last week it takes like 3 mins to load up and pop up on my screen,it works fine, it just take a while to load...i could have nothing running in the background and it will stay take 3 minutes to load...

I've even download ie 6.0 and the new outlook , no help, same problem...

any solutions?!?

Add remove programes... use repair tick on ie and reboot...boot in safe mode and then open tools for IE and try

Try checking XtremePcCentral's Download page for the Win2k Startup Config utility...here's the exact link to the Download: Click Here (http://www.xtremepccentral.com/download.php?op=getit&lid=3)

You can take care of that program or the message upon bootup: "ie4unit.exe" using that utility I mentioned above.

Glad to hear the problems are fixed, BTW, you'll definately want to check these forums, esp. the Tips/Tricks forum, for tips/tweaks/etc. for WinXP...thanks to NDC and Mntsnow!
