OK well I checked and did not have the port set to 2064. I had the xtremepccentral site listed but not the port we'll see.

I went through everything listed on mikes stats page as to how to set up the client double checking it all.

When you first run the client software. You will be presented with the configuration menu.
Enter 1 for the General Client Options menu.
Enter 1 again then type in your email address. This needs to be a working email address.
So that you can receive your password, and so that Distributed.net can get a hold of you if your client finds the winning key.
Enter 0 to return to the main menu.
Enter 2 for the Buffer and Buffer Update Options menu.
Enter 6 for the Keyserver<->client connectivity options
Enter 2 then press 'n' for no.
Enter 3 then type in 'www.xtremepccentral.com'. This is the proxy server. When the client sends it's completed blocks to it.
You will automatically appear on the statistics pages of this site.
Enter 4 then enter in '2064'.
You are now finished configuring the client. To exit and save your settings. Enter '0' until it has left the configuration menu.

I think I'm just going to have to give up one of my computers.
The 1.4 Tbird I use all the time just doesn't seem to crunch.
It will go all night and not do a block. It seems to process about 26K verses the 4mm the others do. :( I've reinstalled the software from the .exe and the zip files used the http and ftp to get it because someone suggested corruption but it all acts the same way. I think I have something goofed up, but I even printed the dang readme's and read them! Something I've never done before! :D I found nothing of any value in them as far as listing what all the set up options in the client do. The last ditch effort was to try and run it as a service and see if that helped... But I doubt it would.
I sure wish I could find out exactly what each setting meant so I could double check everything. If anyone has a link let me know.

another edit Is there anyway to resend what I have been sending all week?

There are 2 log files aren't there? One in and one out?? (I assume it was out the one thats mentioned in the setup screen has the word exit in it or something like that? ) Should I have a log file set up?

Surreal if you send me your log files I can most likely import those into your stats.

I see that your now dumping blocks to the XPC stats :) You have done 54 blocks as of my post now!

Welcome back I would assume :)

No I just went and dumped a couple machines after I set the dumping spot! :D

My main box (my tbird 1.4) still won't crunch anywhere near the speed it should. I may just have to skip this box.. It crunches at 26k .... (with UD running it's at 13k)

Have you checked to see what is running on that box in the background and taking CPU cycles? Something must be running or you have a bad/dead chip

I'm a MORON!!!! :o :o :o :o

note to self.... when you install something as a service like ecc2...... don't forget to shut it down:o :busted:

Ho kay... 3MM with out UD and 1.4MM with it not bad. I can live with that! :D

You definitely need to see what is running in the background.

Another thing that kills RC5 output is if you have an IDE drive and it is set to shut down with the energy saver junk. RC5 constantly accesses the HD if you are crunching on a single machine. If the drive shuts down, it stops crunching or crunches very slowly. So the drive energy saver needs to be OFF. on the machine that is the host for the block buffers.

For me, I have all my stations crunching off the server so that activity is going across the network, not on the local drives.

Cwizard :D

PS. Hehe, yep that take over the machine ECCP2 client would also cause the problem.

I understand putting the ECCP2 client on a spouse's machine is grounds for divorce in some states.

I don't have any hard drives that sleep.. Never wanted to loose and DC ground! :D
Poor RC5 was falling in behind ecc2 and UD. No wonder..

Thanks for all the help guys! :)
