I have been using drive image 5 from powerquest to create a drive image of 500meg and 2.8 gig drives.

Obviously I have done this to save data - from a problem -
And the 500 meg fits on a 700meg disk!

The ? I have is now that I have the images - how do I get ECD4 or something close to it - to make a continuous set of disks - all 2.8 gigs of data. like one would have ina winzip situation.

So I guess the ? is how do I zippper this fat file onto a disk set?

Use the Backup function of windows - without the powerquest image?

options are what I am looking for!

Thanks - C :)

We normally use Ghost 7 and it has an option to split images to fit on CDs. If you are using DI5, I don't believe it had that option, I think it came with DI7 or DI2002. Probably the easiest way to split the image into smaller parts would be to use WinRAR or another compression utility to create a multivolume archive. Another good option is to use removable or external HDDs. A final, but more expensive option is DVD-R media and burner.

I use Ghost because they were the first to support CDR spanning. My main workstation takes 17 cd's and figure with compression that it's getting on average of around a gig of data on a cd.

Thanks all - I figured that I got "taken " by this software. I like PQ due to my use of partion maguc - but I figured they woulda been on the ball about multi disk.

Or here in Canada - it takes 10 years for the new stuff to get here> [ read as mild rant]

C :) - thanks!
