View Full Version : Current issues with Stats

Currently working on a few issues but know that all blocks are being passed onto DNET just fine by the proxy.
The stats are generated from information that is read from the log files of the proxy server and thus nothing is being done to hamper that process. Please understand that the stats software is still beta as the RC5-72 contest is just starting so a lot of new coding has been done to work with the required changes. I'm sure Virus over at Statsaholic will be working thru these issues as he has time. So in short just bear with us/me or just be happy with stats that are only updated once every 24 hours at DNET.
Current Stat Issues:
1. "bymember" section some links generated are pointing to the incorrect member.
2. "bymember" with the var "active" not parsing correctly and links not pointing to correct member.
3. Plot Graphics Solved
4. "bylastweek" not creating stats correctly. (not breaking out into the individual members).
5. "bykeyrate" is not generating correct links for all members.
6. Getting stats to update automatically Solved

as of 3:47pm MST the stats are
Fosin = 28
Noresull = 32
Cwizard = 150
Mitsu = 245
I have personally verified these number by taking a copy of the proxy log file and actually MANUALLY counting the times a client under your control dumped blocks :) I have found that some pages do list the user links and actual stats correctly such as http://www.xtremepccentral.com/rc5stats/index.php?section=RC572&page=detail&osid=1 but at this time I can say once you get the correct link into your own personal stats page it is listing you correctly :) It's just some pages are obviously incorrectly coded. hopefully soon we can get it straightened out.
Mitsu. Are you sure you listed your email correctly? It MUST be the one used in your clients or it will not email you anything. If you still have problems PM me and I will manually change it in the database for you.

NDC,
You need to change your dnetc.ini file configuration and have your clients dump their blocks to the Team's personal proxy server.... unless you do you wont be in the "mini" stats.
Here you can get a cut & paste version to make it easy to make your clients dump to the team's stats server

I'm here because I too enjoyed statsaholic, and have been an avid user of distributed.net since around 1999. In any event, I'm now in a position that I'm going to be setting up a stats website for my own team, so I went to check out the usual suspects. The perl junk was pretty low performance, and I had used statsaholic before so I went for that.
I doesn't work (obviously) so I rewrote sections of it in some spare time at work to work with Apache 2/PHP 4.3/MySQL 4.1 and the newer proxy versions, including OGR-P2 support. Also on both Windows and UNIX (although it's on Windows right now) I've also commented out alot of the CSC/DES/RC5-64 specific bits of code for higher performance and fixed a ton of links and so on. Over 95% of what was broken works now.
I'm trying to get through to the original author, but failing that I will fork the code and put it on sourceforge.
Going on the assumption of a fork, this is 1.0 RC1. And I'll rename the software when I come up with something good enough. Right now the website is internal-only, but if you're still interested I can provide some log files as a sample and the working code.
Oh yeah, and I'm contacting you guys because somebody from this site referenced this thread on sourceforge and I'd like to get somebody else involved in this besides me. :D
Let me know what's up, I'll respond promptly to any replies and will.
As an aside, if I do fork I will make it work with anything distributed.net throws at it in the future. It's pretty trivial to make it work with a new project, actually, so I may impliment it as modules in 1.1.

I'm only passingly familiar with distributed.net If I'm not mistaken, it exists to force people who make a certain security software improve their techniques.
It may be the wrong project I'm thinking of, but I remember reading somewhere that someone involved in this somewhere overseas managed to discover a way to crack the security code in about 3 hours.
Sorry I'm being so vague, but I don't want to give false information.

grep clientname|wc -l would have been much easier, work smarter not harder.

FYI: sorry about the delay, I almost have it debugged. Just one more to go and I'll be all set to change the copyright notices and publish.
