View Full Version : Looking for a new project
David over at Byte Lab suggested I look at Ubero as a new project. I have been talking to MntSnow about where ExtremePC is heading (we like the competition and the camaraderie with you folks) and wanted to try to stick together on the next project.
Site is www.ubero.com
Let me know what you think.

But what does Ubero do???
I didn't see any info of the project on their website either. Are they currently looking for a project?
They are currently doing some genetic sequence matching for the clients and looking for other projects (hopefully paying). What they have is a great client. It supports different projects by being modular. The current client is java, but if they take on a mathematical challenge project, they will implement a C client to handle the unsigned integers.
If there were some mathematical expertise to assist them in writing and testing a client, they would probably go after the RSA challenges..
If your cycles are wasting right now because of neo, try it out and see what you think..

isnt ubero very hard to install? members at another forum stated that the client needed a specific type of java file to run
Ubero will not run with the newest version of Java which is 1.4 I think.
After a little searching on the Java web site I found the 1.3 version which Ubero seems to need to run.
