(bah.. i had to make a reference to another forum mnsnow.. dont ban me!)

I build a pc for the kids running a SLOT a :) PIII 450 with 128pc133 ram.. I cleaned it up and got it running a 3d card for the games.

andy, try lowering it to 1.67 volts, then if that is stable, go down more in 0.1 volt increments....make a note of what is stable, and if it goes instable, clear the bios by pullin the battery for 15 minutes to 1/2 hour....then go down to the last stable voltage b4 the crash

A Slow, Crawling, PIII 800...

I still have several servers that are under 800mhz that run like champs. My wife still runs on a pIII 600 since she doesnt want to go thru and back everything thing up and transfer her stuff to a new box let alone reconfigure all of her custom settings and she says it's still plenty fast for what she uses a computer for and thats all she cares about ;)

he he, well, it's a P450 ..... with 768mb ram. It is my primary cpu. Little workhorse too :) Runs http://www.usalug.org and 7 other websites to boot ! Not to mention it is my primary workstation. I have faster cpu's and faster machines, but I use those for playing games and installing different distro's just for fun.
