I just got my first Msi K7D. It is a nice board. I have wanted to increase my overclocking efforts and needed the volt and multi adjust. This one runs good with cheap DDR so it will save a little money.
I liked it so much I'm getting another tomorow.
My next goal is an Iwill. They can run higher fsb speeds so they OC well.
With all the faster XPs out I figured I would see more dual XP action on this site. I have seen the XP2400s running well regularly and some are even maually adjusting the multipliers on the 2700s with the 333 bus.
Hope more of you get to play with this. If you get a little christmas money to spend.

I understand the need to conserve money at this time of year but it's still pretty exciting with the faster boards and procs and Hammers on the horizon.
The prices on midrange parts dropping also makes it easier to peice a few more machines together.
Have a good holiday.

Yep! I have a few duallies as well. both Intels & AMD's
I currently have two duallies. AMD 1800+ and a P3 1Ghz. I would love to get faster processors everytime they got faster. However, my budget would never allow that. I'm usually never satisfied with my current processor speeds since graphic applications support SMP and gets tasks done that much faster. If only I could win the lottery or something! :bunny:

Yes I know what you mean. I can usually find deals on the MBs but the fastest procs will always be at the going rate.
But I have been thinking about the XP2400s. Price is getting close to what I can afford and they OC well without using a lot of power.
I have a powerball ticket. Time to go check the numbers.
See ya.
