I have 3 older laptops now. I'm looking to pick one up for a court case and to store my finance records to take with me.

p200 mmx
2.0 gig hdd
80 megs mem
1 usb port,cd rom,1.4 ect.

I forgot to add, the memory is brand new compaq sticks and has room for more to be installed. battery is in first class condition and it also has the ext. power connector.
has win98se preinstalled and I'm trying to get the company to throw in a 56 k modem.

I have done some checking at differant sites that sell laptops and most are in the 3/400. range. they as always seem to keep their value.

all help in this matter is needed before the co. sells it.

Your probably in the $200.00 range depending if the unit is complete, having a working battery that old would be a bonus.

Tiger direct sells a lot of older laptops like PII 333's and such. They are going for aroung $400.00 plus shipping.

I personaly think some of the PIII laptops that are for sale now are pretty good bargains. Something with DVD and and a decent sized screen can be found in the $600.00-$800.00 range. Mine cost me $1800.00 new from Dell and I see them going on the auctions for 950 - 1200 dollars now and its only a year old.

thanks for the info. the unit is complete and comes with a replacement warrenty. Battery is new.
I have also checked tiger & the geek site before posting to the list.

this is a friend of mine that owns the co. so tech support is at the +A1 level. and I'm not worried about the unit. I'm or was just looking to.

well, hel* might as wells admit the fact that I'm trying to get over him with the lowest price I can!! for I don't have the $$$ to spare.
