View Full Version : How to make a WinXP Recovery Disk?
My system's winxp says that it's missing some system files. How can he fix this? I couldn't find any info on a recovery disk in the MSKB.... TIA

To make an "ERD" disk go Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools- Backup and then click on the box for Create ERD Disk
Sorry...This is for Win2K....Now noticed that your asking about XP...Not sure of that as of yet....but you can launch with the CD in and do a "repair" as the CD will that you alread have XP installed and will ask you if you need to repair an existing install or if you want to do a "new/upgrade" install

Isnt there also a repair option in the installation process?

Yes. you can do a "repair" when "re-installing" instead of a true re-install.
