Check it out, I may still be mourning over my Core 2 Quad system, but I sold and reused some stuff to make a new pc out of a cheap one I bought off a freind:)

Monitor: 17" Dell P780 1600x1200
Case: Sigma Gaming Shark
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower W0155RU ATX12V / EPS12V 1000W
Motherboard: ASUS M2A-VM AM2 AMD 690G Micro ATX
CPU: 3.2GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black Edition
Memory: 2 GB Corsair Dominator PC2-6400 DDR2-800
Hard Drive: WD Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB 10,000 RPM 2x WD5000AAJS 500GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0 RAID1
Video: 768MB BFG Geforce 8800 Ultra OC
Sound: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro
OS: Windows XP MCE 2005

The Sound, Raptor, and Vid card were form my deceased system, alot survived!
I got a +6400 Black Edition from newegg cause the original 64 +4000 wont cut it, got some ram, all it had was 512mb, and I got the drives form another freind.

I built a super rig out of all of this, for like only $300 alltogether! :)

P.S. I sold the extra 8800 Ultra if you were wondering where I got the 300 dollars! One is fine enough!:)

P.P.S.
Its a tight fit wiht the ultra in the case! Can barely fit the X-Fi in it.:blahblah:

so you had a Core 2 Quad & "upgraded" to an X2 6400+?

Why?

everything else in the current Uber Rig is almost top of the line, & you downgraded the CPU?

No, the processor, mobo, and tv tuner were destroyed from the power surge. But the Ultras and Raptors survived, Xfi too. The stupid mobo didn't have another pci-express slot but i dont kare, i traded an ultra for a whole nother computer.

ahhh I see, I thought you sold off the Quad to upgrade this one... I have known a couple people over the last year who have done such crazy things, sell off their Intel Core 2 Duo, to go for AMD's latest top of the line, thinking it was better, & ended up with a lesser system as a result.
