Sounds like a flyer :thumb:
Good luck with the install and bench's...
pulled 119,000 in aquamark 3
and pulled 9600 in 3d mark 06
not too bad for a stock machine running xp

Not a bad score at all for a stock run.
That 8800GTS is no slouch though, so with a bit of tweaking here and there, you should clear 10k easily :thumb:

LOL, just ran Aquamark 3... 119,399 for my score, but I know on 3DMark 06, I got around 8808 or so for a score.
can't get a FRAPS shot of it zipping thru, as soon as I hit the record button, frame rate drops from the mid to upper 200's down to exactly 30fps, turn it off, & AM3 runs as if it had 50 warp engines strapped on

yeah, if its an Evga its factory OC'd... the thing I notice about the specs listed, 96 Pixel pipelines? thats a tad wrong, it 96 shader processors (stream processors sometimes referred to), its basically 96 universal shaders for Pixel, Vertex, Geometry & anything else needed for.
edit: best way I could record the benchmark was with my new media player recording device, with built in DV cam, not greatest image, but still can see what I'm talking about.
it gets about 118K for score, but thats because FRAPS is running in background displaying fps & stuff, turn that off & the score jumps to 119K easily...

I'd Look into seeing if you can mod the 8800's into Quadro cards either via the Bios or Firmware or softmod via the Drivers, that would certainly improve performance on usage of apps like 3D Studio Max, but would lower gaming performance... though I doubt gaming performance would lower that bad, would still do great for gaming regardless.
I'm not sure if there is mods for the 8800's, but seeing as the 8800 equivalent Quadro's are on the market now, if there isn't yet, there should be soon (modded drivers, etc)
