If the person is friends with the people they are sending the PM too I basically take it the same way.

anoher reason i like this board...long story short i did that at another site and was banned as well as publically defamed by the admin, who evidentally read pm's as the 4 people were and are my friends and had no objections to it. i only bring this up as I see so many other boards doing the same thing. its like everyone and there grandmother has to be extremely afraid of being banned for petty stuff. like not having the correct info in the location field.

The Admin reading your PM's is BS! They are private and should not be read by the admin unless forwarded to them by a member IMO.
You would have to do some aweful stuff before Mntsnow would ban you. He is a very fair person who treats all his members with the utmost respect.
I've been banned from one board because of something stupid and I do mean something stupid. Hmm only once in the five or six years since I have participated on BBS boards is not too bad. Thankfully most mods and admins of the boards I am a member of are respectfull and will at the very least ask you to calm down if you start to get carried away. Others allow their ego to get in the way.

I agree reading other's PM's is :bs: and just goes to show that who ever was the Admin had way to much time on their hands and obviously nothing constructive to do with their time :(.... The only time that would even be in question here is if there was legal issues to deal with in my opinion (and just to let you know I'm the only one that has access to the actual databases (another nice thing about running your own servers under your own control))....
I try and treat others as I would want to be treated.
Thanks for the vote of confidence Jad!

I get put on "post watch" all the time here http://www.dslreports.com In a Senior members forum.
The reason for the "post watch" you ask? Well When I asked one of the mods I got this response. "Well, to be completely honest, you are much too honest" in your replies. I would take it a step further and say you are "Brutally honest".
