Help Please!~

Recently i was forced to reformat my computer due to a virus. Im not that good with computers and was wondering if someone could help me. I can not get my internet to work after the reformat. I have Optimum Online. I hate calling because i get put on hold and its Saturday. So if anyone can point me in the right direction of what to do i'd greatly appreciate it.

are yo using another system at home and it's using your optimum online connection? If so double check that computer's network settings and mirror them on your computer that is not getting internet. (unless you are using static ip addresses on your computers)

Do you have a router/switch between the Optimum online cable modem and the attached computer(s)?
