Just a minor tip, if you're registry ever becomes corrupt, or if you've uninstalled files or programs, and their registry associations are still present...a piece of software called RegClean will get the job done for you and fix any registry errors.

Personally, my favorite utility for reg cleaning, file cleaning, etc is System Mechanic. I've been using this utility for quite some time on Win9x, ME, Win2k and it hasn't hosed my registry once! :)
