Ok i just wanted to stop by and thank everyone who would help me out threw out the year, i just took my final! ON MY OWN, and i got a 97 WOOOOPEEE!!!! LoL i just missed one question... =( Oh well... LoL

Okay one question was today i saw this guy sending messages threw DOS to the other computers, in the school computer lab, i know he was using NET VIEW to get the computer names and stuff, but what are the commands for sending messages..

NET SEND {Computer Name} Message

Like that???? Or no?

Yep if you have questions on how something works just type the command and then the ? mark such as

net send /? and then hit enter and you will see helpful tips usually

i did try that, but i dont get help on how to use them, only the commands that we can use net with, like net computer or net pause, and net view, and stuff like that..

Did you type net ? or net send ? There is a difference... also the command net send only works if the windows messenger service is enabled (it is disabled by default in SP2) True that only the syntax of the command is displayed for this command - but that is all you really need to know as that is all that the command does - send messages.

Okay so then lets say i wanted to send a message, here in the network at school, in steps, what would i have to do?

Net View.... Is there a pause command so that the computers stop at the end of the command promt and i continue them with the "any key" LoL cause i've tried Net View /P but that doesnt work...

After Viewing the computers Do i just put Net Send Computer name and then the message after?
