Greetings... I have a Chopped Pavillion 7955. Here's what it has-

Case- Two Tone w/ stock 230w PSU, 2 bays for Rom/Burner/DVD... , and a Quick Release Cage that can House the Floppy and 2 HDD's. The case is TwoTone Black and SilverGrey. Has Doors to cover TopTwo Bays that open when device is open. Has a Rear Connection for a 90mm fan and I modded a Front Side whole for a 80mm fan- clean cut.

Mobo- Asus P4B-LA. This is basically the same Board as the Asus P4B-LX, but built specifically for HP. Has front and rear accessible FireWire and USB. Has extra Sound Riser in Back.

Processor- P4 1.5 Williamette

Ram- Kingston PC133 256mb

What would be a Fair asking Price for this assembled item? Basically- Case, Mobo, CPU and Ram.... nothing else. Thanks!

Mortis

EDIT: I also do have the Factory Recovery CD's that include OS, Software and Programs... Can I do anything with this package?

Thanks

Back at Ya.

Only Inquiring about what a Fair and Accurate Asking Price would be. I know how much New Parts would be and how to calculate a used asking amount... but am not sure what to think about the Case and Mobo.

Thanks for Your Thoughts.

Bump... No Thoughts?

I was thinking between $300 and $325, but then have seen some of the Dell Deals Lately and thought that way too high... but any lower and I seem to be shorting myself. Thoughts appreciated.

Well Mortis I usually keep out of these types of threads I most people tend to think I'm low balling but I usually base things on what I usually can buy things for or what I'm personally willing to pay for them.

Honestly though You should be able to get around the 250 range. Though you would be better off to toss a HD in it and complete the system and sell it locally for in the 400 buck or so range

Thanks MntSnow... I have thought about throwing in a HDD and a VidCard- but I know if I do that, I wont sell it! LOL! I know that sounds strange (well, probably not in this crowd), but I will tell myself that I can use it for this or that, hehe. I am already thinking I could do that and get a KVM switch and use this box for... blah blah blah. The Madness never stops.

Cool... I have a few peeps locally I plan to showcase it to and see if it generates any interest. Prior to doing that I just wanted a BallPark figure so I wouldnt lowball myself- which I usually do.
