I have many links, going on about 50-70 links in IE. The way I do it, is almost how I organize the Start Menu...
Make a folder in your favorites such as "Computer", then if you have too many links pertaining to Computers, etc., get more specific, like "Hardware/Software sites", "Drivers", "News & Info.", "OS'es" (such as Linux sites, or Windows sites), etc...

Seeing how many I have, it would be pointless to try to find one if they weren't somewhat organized.

too many things change too often - if you save links - you have to maintain them -

Do a new search each time - if you keep on ending up at the same place, that's okay, but you don't risk missing out on other things because you are locked into a static link.....

The only truely static link I have is my start page and that points at my home page - That hasn't changed in years - not even the home page - ( hehehe - actually working on finally updating that soon ) and I just renewed my DNS registration for 5 years -
