I hate to say it but I wouldnt be sitting between all those systems cause I would be more deaf than I currently am! but I would love to have a rack and change over to rackmount servers cases!

Plus your hair would fall out mntsnow...deaf and bald :D

Super nice though. I love racks also. I would probably flush mount it in the wall though so all the heat and wires go into a closet or something.

I certainly wouldn't mind having one of those sitting in my room! Just the looks of it is very impressive!

I would not want it because of the elec. bills.

"It has it's own dedicated circuits; 2 x 50Amp feeds. My power bills are killer as I also have a 12K BTU A/C unit just to cool the room."

I'm a fellow Explosive Labs.com member & its true, here's his home page, check out all the pics,
http://www.deathstar-mainframe.com/ , & the funny thing is, is that is just his rig at home, one time I asked him what he uses it for and he said

That's my home rig.....Pretty much hand-built from the frames out except for some of the rack cases; there's a couple of Dual AMD rigs, surge suppressors, line conditioners, router, etc in all that......

&

I do quite a bit of number crunching for my job; Db indexing, etc...It requires the full attention of one of the rigs just for that. That and it makes a great pRon-surfer......

Here's a link to that thread on explosivelabs's forums, that shows some of the newest additions to the "DeathStar Mainframe":

I also remember him posting something once, this was before the Explosive Labs servers got Hacked & hosed, about how much heat that thing generates I think he said something about needing a 15,000 btu air conditioner to keep JUST THAT ROOM cool enough during the summer, to run the rig.
