Radeon 7000

Hmm..bought one last week..it was inexpensive and looked like a good card. Install went horribly wrong..LOL. Well I have it up and running with the latest drivers I could find..the 2D is awesome..brought new life to my 21" Trinitron. But...it absolutely suxors at games. Can't play RTCW..no go on Warcraft3..Unreal..forget it...grrr..I'm using win98SE, and I don't see it as a card for anything other than 2D. Anyone else have this experience??

sheez man, I have a modded 32MB GeForce2 MX400 and I run all those games w/decent fps.
I've actually never used a Radeon card, esp that one.

Sry to hear of ur shortcomings :( ...what are you going to do with it?

Well..it made me angry enough that I returned it. I then picked up a Radeon 8500 and it was funky on my system as well. I could play games, but was getting artifacts on the screen, and to get any kind of resolution I had to lower the monitor refresh to 60 Mhz. Latest drivers and all, but for me it was just too buggy. Returned that as well..LOL..now happily using a GeForce4 Ti4200

That's my next upgrade - then I'll OC it to near 4600 speeds. :)
