Hi guys & gals :)

I want to build a site that will incorporate a shopping cart.. either via a pre-built soft app or self-built via template, etc.

I've never done this before, and there are lots of choices. I'd prefer a free app (doubtful?) or a fully functional trial ver on which to learn. Or, a site with good instructions on how to build one.

The shopping cart site I will be building will be hosted on a fully customizable W2K - IIS5 webserver.

Thanks for your suggestions and thoughts. :)

p.s. I'll be using DWMX to for the site build.

This is prob not much help, but would like to brag about this program :):
If you happen to use Delphi or C++ Builder, CGI Expert is an excellent plugin. It will let you do about anything and it comes with a shopping cart example with it. I don't have the latest copy, but mine lets you use it free but it puts a link to them at the bottom of each page. It makes a shopping cart that is small and fast (well as long as you don't use access as your database :)).

Hi fosin! If you happen to use Delphi or C++ Builder - fosin, that is wayyy beyond me, lol so I'm thinking that won't work... thank you for your suggestion anyway, I appreciate it. :)

Hi bumbleB.. thanks! I have been to a Dansie Cart site (http://www.dansie.net/cart.html) before, so I'll look it over a little more. Free might be good. Thanks for your suggestion and for the further offer of help with Dansie. I will take you up on that offer if need be! ;)

Umm SHHHH...P...DONT tell anyone about the nature of our chats lol. In reality, Fshanda may have been logging my keystrokes the whole time and waiting for the right moment to pull a Tony Soprano on us. Ummm...YIKES! I better tell ALL of my boyfriends to run and hide... quickly! Plus, if Fshanda get angry at me, who will be there to fix my network?
