Back when I was in highschool, my school had one of the first computer labs in the state of Louisiana. We'd crack open the PC cases and disable the speaker so we could play games like defender during the lecture -

Being dis-satisfied with how quickly my walkman "ate" batteries, I made my own power adapter and wired it to the biggest lantern battery I could buy at Radio Shack - that I carried in a belt pouch. and that was 17 years ago -

So yeah - I qualify, but I'm also a media junkie so the computer doesn't win out over the TV, but it's a close race.....

I'd add a #6 - you just can't bring yourself to buy your own PC "off the shelf" - but at the bare minimum have to buy at least two devices to add into it or just end up building the whole thing yourself.

Yesterday while I was waiting in line at Fry's to return my IBM HDD, some older guy was asking me how to setup a home network.. he went blank when I mentioned "ping" so I gave him my biz card.. (I hope he calls for tech support..) ;)
