First rule in websites:
Test them off your High Bandwith line!!
I always go in from someones computer on a dialup and check times.
If as a rule you cant load it @ 32k in 30 sec you lost that person!

I agree...Even though there are a lot of us on broadband now, there are still even a greater # of people on dial-up. If a page or site doesn't load in under 20 sec. I'm gone. Some people have more patience, but don't take the chance. If customers or hits are ur main support, then do everything you can to compress images or graphics and other media. It'll help!

I will give a site a minute or longer if I'm really interested in going to it. However, if I'm just surfing and a 500k flash movie starts to load, I leave quickly. 56k really isn't that bad if you are used to it. A long time ago my first modem was a 1200 baud.:eek:
