I'm getting a new laptop for my wife for her B-day and I wanted to load it up with pics of me :D and our children. Ive seen screen savers that can do a slideshow, but I was wondering if it is possible to have the slideshow happen on the desktop instead. Anyone know if this is possible, and if it is how to do it? TIA

How about Slideshow Desktop (http://www.slideshowdesktop.com/features.htm)...
Automatically cycle your photographs on your desktop while you work.
It's $20 to buy, but there is a free trial with limited functionality after 14 days.
There's also Animated Desktop Slideshow (http://desktop-tools.net/desktop-slideshow.html).
Again, it's shareware and the pic size is small, but worth a look perhaps.
There are a few more, but I found those 2 using Google searching for "Desktop Slideshow".

Have you ever tried webshots?? Its a neat little program, it might be able to do what you want. It lets you change your desktop wallpaper in certain frequencies, not sure what the shortest one is though.
