I have a NVidia GeForce 2 MX/MX 400.
Should I use Detonator 30.xx or 40.xx drivers ?

I know both are compatible with the MX 400 but which driver is better for it ?

depends what OS your running, 40.41 is only for XP\2000, the new 40.72's are for ME & earlier. I'd say go for the 40's I saw a 22% increase in 3dmark2001se, if you have problems with them uninstall those & install the 30's, being the 40's are still technically beta's, not full fledge official release drivers like the 30's.

Under Windows XP from 23.12 to 40.xx showed no difference in performance on a Geforce 3 TI-200... Only difference I saw was that Nvidia Refresh Rate didn't work anymore... 23.12 has been the most stable and optimized driver for me so far...

the 40.7x seemed to give me a few hundred 3DMARKS over the 30.xx drivers ( just enough to get me into 12000's ) but I have a GF4 4200, not an MX.

The new drivers for Win9x will boost game performance by about 20% in Win9x/Me.

How is the compatibility with games with these new drivers?
