Oh, yeah... P4 Xeons ranging from $200~$1200 per processor depending on the cache size, this is going to be one pricy build. And I'm sure the mainboard itself will be at least $700 or so..:jaw:

YoWzA! 12 DIMM Sockets for up to 24G of reg'd DDR! All those are put on a riser card attached to that one slot though?

Dual LAN is nice though :)

Yep, that's the going price on Xeon Duallie boards. Expect to pay at least $800+ for a somewhat decent one... :bs: :D

Anybody make a quad Athlon MP board? Figured if they did it might be a bit more affordable than a Intel board, not to mention the CPU's would be cheaper too, Sure the Xeons would kick its ***, but some of us don't have that kind of cash.

It's sexy and all, but unless you run a database that gets hit quite hard, you will see no difference. We run quite a few 8-ways but all of them are databases. From a user standpoint, they are just like any other PC.

In a SMP coded applications such as Photoshop, it will make a WORLD of difference! ;)
