EDITED:
Greetings... I have a Rage 128 Pro MAC (16mb) and a Mac G4 Processor with HeatSink. I am not sure how to Identify the Processor but can give markings on it- BELOW. I am interested in knowing how to determine these things Value but more importantly want to pass them along to someone here that will Use them. I am asking for $25 shipped (probably very underpriced... :))for the CPU/HeatSink and $15 (Fair) shipped for the VidCard but prefer to sell them together for $35.

However- Conditions of Sale- Must either have a respectable trading history with HeatWare or be an established member here as I will ship first and allow you to test, then request payment once they both check out (since this method is being used, I ask for a Phone Number and real name). I dont have any means to test these items since they are Macintosh and dont know whether the VidCard can be cross used in PC's. If you have any questions, ask.

EDIT:

Pic is of the Motorola Processor: Markings on Chip... arranged on chip from top to bottum accordingly (Have Pic of VidCard, but it is pretty straight forward- has R128P 63001 on it on top. Has a standard blue SVGA connection and a strange white connection with 3 square rows of 8 and this at the end :- ... probably apple monitor)

XPX7400

RX450PK

DLJ0011

Didnt take a Pic of the Big HeatSink and excuse the Pictures- taken with an old Kodak DVC325 with BAD Software and an even worse picture taker... hehe.

How about this- Any Xtreme Members use Macs? If so, and ya got a need for either of these items, I will ship out to ya... no cost. I just want these things used... I dont want to throw them away and dont want to go through a lot of effort to get rid of them (Ebay- yuck ;)).

Shoot me an email if anyone wants.

Thats what I thought too... When I got it and was told what it was I had the same response- thats not a CPU. On the underside is a small off center area where it plugs into the board... It has a Monster HeatSink (no fan).

I was going to play with it and try to build a Mac to learn more about them... then I couldnt easily find the parts and when I did- I didnt like the cost. So it became a Closet Fixture and I cant find anything to do with it- other than let it haunt my closet with all my other Comp Junk while my clothes continue to lose space to hang. A couple weeks ago I decided to clean the Closet out into 3 categories-

1 I will never use and so will no one else (yes I have stuff that obsolete)
2 Others Might use
3 I will use

I thought it was going to be easier than what it was. There was some stuff I had that I nor anyone else will ever use- but I just couldnt bring myself to ditch it. An example is a Voodoo2- Yes, I know its a Great Card... but with other Tech being so CHEAP (older ATI, TNT2, etc) and a little better in performance, why keep it? Well I did keep it- its a CornerStone of 3D development. Atleast thats what I tell myself :) .

Mortis,

Unfortunately, i don't know if i could even use those cards much more than as novelty items. I no longer have a powermac to use them in and if i was to get one, the processor and vid card would be updated from what you have to offer. Where did you get these items anyway? Doesn't sound like you are a Mac user, so i'm having a hard time grasping where you would pick up such items.

FYI, the heat sink is big because of the lack of fans in Apple computers. We like it quiet ;)

To madfish: If only that were true, that Macs would multiply so quickly. Everyone could use a Mac.

Cool... Sorry to hear that, Marcus. The Agency I work for provides many different At-Risk Youth Services. One growing program is a Computer Recycling Program. We receive donated equiptment from various persons or entities and "Fix Em Up," load legit software and give them out to kids. So far this year we have placed about 70 P2 level systems. We periodically get Mac stuff- but have no use for it (we dont work with Mac)... we usually turn around and give the Mac stuff to the School District, but they dont work at the Component level. So, we received these two items that were apparently left over from an upgrade. Thats the Short Story. If ya go to www.weldpartners.org , if ya are interested, you can read more about the programs and services we provide.

Thanks for letting me know about the Mac "stuff."

Mortis

EDIT: Just an FYI- If I sell something that was received through the program... I do so with approval and knowledge from all persons who participate in the Program. That money (no matter how little) is put back into the program for Software.
