Someone tell me what the core voltage should be on this processor, please.I went into my bios, and the cpu settings were set at automatic. I t showed the core voltage set 2.2 volts. I set it to 2.3 volts.Will this hurt it?

2.2 is the stock voltage. 2.3 would be fine and even up to 2.4 with good cooling if your planning on over-clocking

I even had mine up to 2.6 for a bit & it survived. I'd think that 2.3 is fine, as mine is running at that for years (with a nice big CoolerMaster on top ;) )

2.2 for the 500. The 550 used 2.3.
