I'm having some strange luck with getting my web server running on my DSL.
My provider assigned me a static ip within their own internal ip range..... ie:
192.168.........
Ok, thats odd. :badass:
My public ip reports as 216.106........
The public ip never seems to change. I can't ping it, tracert times out.
Makes me believe that public ip is really their own routers static ip, with some sort of redirection to the internal static ip they gave me. :hammer:
Have I lost my mind, or is my provider that crappy?
Wouldn't something like that affect others connection speeds if one user was intensively using bandwidth?
Any insight is appreciated.
