CDR-Info (http://www.cdrinfo.com) has posted the first review of this long awaited Z-CLV drive here (http://www.cdrinfo.com/hardware/plextor2410a/index.shtml)

The drive is strong and fast, but if you also read the review of LiteOn's 24x burner here (http://www.cdrinfo.com/hardware/liteon24102/index.shtm) the LiteOn comes out as a better drive (apart from CDRW read speed, fairly important I may add). They are both based on the Sanyo 24x package. If the LiteOn comes significantly cheaper (I saw them for £120 while the Plextor retails at £180), it's only Plextor's 2year waranty (EU only, sorry) and hope for a firmware improvemnt that should hold you as a customer....

I look forward for Ian's review at cdrlabs (http://www.cdrlabs.com)

Happy shopping!

24x10x40 drives are being posted on www.pricewatch.com starting @ $80 !

Amazing price...I currently own an Aopen 12x10x32, I can do a CD to CD copy in under 5 min. , so I probably won't upgrade in a for awhile!
