We run TNT2 32mb cards here. I like to upgrade them. My question is our current gaming machines good enough for a 64mb card?
Son's - AMD 900 Athlon {256mb ram}
Mine - P-III 600EB {384mb ram}
Daughter's - Celeron 700E {256mb ram}
Mine - P-II 450 {128mb ram}
and the Dualie P-III 805E's. {1 gig ram}
who/what would ya all sugest for cards? I like them to be all the same brand/type.
Thanks.

As for your question on your systems being good enough for a 64mb card, yes they are... You will definetly see a difference in performance using a GF card vs. the TNT2 cards because of the memory and core speed. However, I would recommend staying away from MX-series from Nvidia. You will outgrow them so quickly and end up buying another card. I used to have a system with a P2 450Mhz with a TNT2 M64 and replaced it with a GF 256 DDR 32MB and the difference was like night and day! :)

Here's the highest level cards I'd put in each machine unless they're soon to be upgraded considerably:

Son's - AMD 900 Athlon {256mb ram} - GF3 Ti200 64MB
Mine - P-III 600EB {384mb ram} - GF2 32MB
Daughter's - Celeron 700E {256mb ram} - GF2 32MB
Mine - P-II 450 {128mb ram} - I'd leave the TNT2 in or a GF256
and the Dualie P-III 805E's. {1 gig ram} - GF3 Ti200 64MB

Thanks. the only machine being upgraded is the dualie, a brain transplant to 1 gig, then I'm taking the two 850E's and putting them in boards and getting rid of the P-II 450 and 700 celeron E.

How about 5 ATI OEM RADEON 7500 LE 64MB DDR DVI/CRT/TV out,Dual output support AGP BULK (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=manufactory&catalog=48&manufactory=1457&DEPA=1&sortby=14&order=1)? At $58 each with free shipping, you could upgrade every computer for less than $350 and they would all have dual monitor support and TVout:D

I just put one of these in my brother's Classic Athlon 750Mhz system and he loves it:D
