Has eveyone seen Yamaha's new cd burner, the CRW-F1?
It has a Laser Labeling System. Pretty neat.

OOoooohhhh! This looks awesome!
We have several Yamaha CDROMs at work & they've been flawless too.

Very useful feature. When I burn a CD, I never make labels. Just scribble on the Cd with a felt pen. This is awesome.
But expensive. Though Yamaha and Plextor drives are rock solid and extremely reliable.
That looks neat. Is it labeling the bottom though right? Unless they are special CDs?
Regular CDs. It arranges fake data to look like text. Therefore you can't have any data where the label is.

Just one more reason to get rid of floppy drives altogether...write 1.44 MB of data to CD-R and make some cool graphics for the rest of the disk. :p

Those are very cool, now if only my internal yammaha 24x could do that...
that is what I paid for my internal 9 months ago, if I had known this was coming out I may have waited.
