I have been searching for a new case for a while (more interior room) and I came across this one http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduct.asp?description=11-126-008&depa=1 . I like the way it looks and the Temp feature on the front is way cool. But, I have not heard of this company before. Any thoughts? I am wondering about stability and build as well as whether anyone has ever bought one of thier cases.

THanks All!

I havent heard of them either but looking at it from the pic's it looks to be an ok box. I just prefer full tower cases for the most part :)

I prefer Antec (http://www.antec-inc.com/en_perf_plushome.html) and Chieftec (http://www.chieftec.com/products/products.htm) cases. These cases were definetly designed with much thought. The quick release latch for the hard drive racks, as well as devices mounted to the 5.25" external bays, upgrades are so much more convenient. If digital temperature guage is what caught your attention for that case posted above, you could easily buy 5.25" bay guages which are quite inexpensive..

Thanks. I do like the ChiefTech cases... I am working on a machine that is in a ChiefTech Full Tower Dragon (the Blue) and love it. I am looking at the same but in the MidTower series... Directron has it here- http://directron.com/directron/bluecases.html . I think the inside is great and boy is it sturdy and well constructed. But, think the outside (other than the cool color  ) is a little drab. The thing I like about the other case is the Bubble effect for the Temp Readout. I was going to order the ChiefTech Until I saw the Ahani... jsut decided to browse NewEgg before ordering. If the Ahani is as sturdy as the Dragon, then I would go with it- although teh slide show pics look pretty good, cant really tell.

All in all- I agree, the Cheiftech Dragon series has been the best I have had the pleasure to play around with and will probably end up purchasing it. My BDay is coming up and a case is going to be my gift to myself :).

It's a beautiful case -

Three things - It doesn't have a removable motherboard tray - IE - you can slideout the mobo and all PCI and AGP cards attached as one unit - I've come to love such a design as it makes installs a LOT easier.

I don't quite see how you get to the screws on the deep side of the drive bay.

I'd take out my hole saw and put a fan right over the CPU in the side of the case.

Another concern is that anything you buy won't match the case color. You could get the color matched - buy a mixed can of pain at Home Depot and paint the faceplates of your periperals yourself, but most people don't go to that much trouble. It looks like the top slot plates can be fitted over most CD-ROM / DVD drive faces -

I like the thermostat - looks neat.

$79 is ok for that case. - the price isn't bad. But you'll want to plan on spending a few hundred on a good power supply. You'd do better financially getting a case that already had the right power supply built in, if you aren't too particular about your power supply features.

NDC - the Chieftec lightsaber case looks pretty cool - wonder if they can do a black light string and then do all the cable wraps in a reflective white so they glow back....... Exterior would be gray & white marble - that color scheme hides the most dust......
