A very good morning, afternoon, or evening to you all, and welcome to the mid way point of the crunching week...

...and what a great set of numbers we have; 1.1 million molecules crunched, 26 thousand hits found, and a rip snorting 1.5 million points awarded  :D

Well, the man of the match atm is rourkchris, I don't know where he's pulling those points from, but long may he pull them :)

I used to be rather proud of my 40-50k a day, but looking at some of the points coming in daily from the likes of rourkchris, A Novice, Strop, Gouki, Roadwreck, Drugfinder, and a few others, it seems tame in comparison, and I love it! I like being in the top 10, but I would rather be in the top 20 if it means that we have crunchers like that pushing out the results...

Well, talking of results etc, I'm going to be cutting back on my herd by quite a lot, probably in the order of 40% or more :( Unfortunately, my Wife gave up work 4 weeks ago, but only actually told me last week, She has made no effort in getting a job, and her final wages (about a weeks worth) that were paid in last week have already gone. My wages that go in tomorrow (I'm paid weekly) along with what little we have in the bank, have to cover the mortgage, gas, electric, water, insurances, etc etc etc etc, and will hardly even cover the mortgage on it's own! :(

I am just so mad right now, and really dissapointed that she could be so stupid to give up her job of 5 years without having anything to fall back on, or without even consulting me first - I'd love to know what goes through her mind at times...

It's unfair to critisise her in a one sided manner, but needless to say, I will have to sell a few of these computers to cover the lost wages, she now has 1 week to get a job, or I'm pulling out and selling up, I'm fed up with working 12 hour shifts to pay for her to sit around watching daytime tv all day, and not even doing the housework, the pictures are what I was presented with when I walked in this morning...

Anyway, before I depress myself even further, I'm off to bed, have a great day y'all, and we'll do it all again tomorrow...

Congrats to the Dumperz, Moverz, and 'Stoners :D

Yikes, I see what you mean, My room seems tidy & clean compared to those & I'm not teh most organized person around, except for when I'm at work for some reason, just not at home or in my car (front passenger foot well is full of all sorts of garbage, its obvious I'm single from looking in to my car, LOL).

Maybe CBB or tmx could get a hold of a few of your rigs & crunch with them to keep them crunching for our team & FaD.

But as for me, Finally, Another milestone, 12.5 Mil Mollies, was getting anxious for a bit, cause I'd been crunching for awhile & hadn't seen any milestones in quite some time. & was surprised I'd done another 9 Grand in points, I figured 8 but its nice to see my rigs managed to crank out another 1000 or so points before deadline.

gotta do my income taxes tommorrow before I forget... Gotta try & remember to do them, I just keep forgetting. Probably cause I'm not expecting too much back, if I was getting back what i got a couple years ago I would have gotten them done the week I recieved my W-2's, but noooo...

Sorry to hear about your troubles, Mark. Has Ali been checked out for post-natal depression? Sounds like a possibility, with her suddenly leaving work and stuff. I've been there, done that. :o

Looks like my jobs are finishing now. Nice dump for today.

Congrats to the stoners and stuff. I got more work to do now.

Keep 'em crunchin', all.

Cheers
Mick

i hope you work it out winkie....and thanks for the stats. ;)

now it's out the door for me before i'm late

Sorry to here and see the problems Mark.
Mich's took the word right out of Rea's mouth.
When we looked at the pic's that what she said.
We check the stats with our coffee every morning...;)
Let us know if there's anything we can do to help.
If anything we could buy the systems and paid the elec. bill.
Just leave them where there at. Until you sort it all out. Just a idea....:)
I may be coming over your way this summer...... Long story, factory training in Ireland.

Great work Team
Thanks for da' Stats Winkie
Congrats to da' S'ers, M'ers and D'ers.

Contest Start's Tomorrow.
I'll put the thread up tonite.
As long as I don't another day like the last 3........:(

Just like I don't know where my pants are I don't know where these points are coming from! I haven't added a thing to my herd in months. Maybe a couple of old remotes finally reporting in.

ROFLMAOOL!!!!

Holy crap, I just added my bro's PC to FaDspy for future reference & stuff & the one job that has been crunching on & off again for the last month or so according to FaDSpy should net me 323K in points & won't be done till early June, LOL...

Here's a pic of the window in FaDspy...

i know i highly doubt it... the reason i typed roflmaool, & stuff, on his rig the seconds that its been running showed up as around 28K, so its been over 7 hours total, its something screwy between FaDSpy & the FaD folder on his rig, not synching or something I think?

Great job team :)
Congrats to the S M & D :chug:

Sorry to hear about you're woes Mark...
A few people allready mentioned post-natal depression, and it was my first thought also...
With all the stress these days, and so many worries about everything and nothing... it isn't a big surprise that someone has a depression of some kind.
Hope she recovers well, and wish you both the best of luck :)

If you hadn't told the story and only showed the pics... I would have guessed it was you're turn to clean the house this week :tease:
Just kidding ofcourse ;)
On second thought... if I would take a pic of the house during my cleaning week, it would look alot like that :worry:

Mark, Very sorry to hear of your troubles. My wife had a pretty knarly case of post-partum depression herself, and lost her father on top of it all. The behavior sounds remarkably similar. Get her some help and double your ration of Stella. :)

Congrats to all, especially to those who've made goals and milestones!

Keep up the good work, and hopefully I'll get some time to get this dual going. Till then...

Sorry to hear about the trouble Mark.
I'm not familiar with the postpartum variety, but it definately looks and sounds like depression.

Get her some help and double your ration of Stella.

Thaks for the stats win2K :)

Sorry to hear about your situation but it does sound all to familar I have to agree with the post natal depression thingy been there done that

I have a job that shows in the queue server as stalled and in yellow but my seconds are ticking away on job info. It's been running for 35 hours now and only shows 80,800 seconds and i figured it should be about 126,000 seconds. :)

Congrats to the movers dumperz and stonerz :)

wow...win2k, i hope you guys can work thru your problems. :( it's upsetting to read about problems like this. i really do feel for you. it's hard to keep a positive face sometimes when family life is completely upside down. and it was brave of you to share the news with us...some how, some way, maybe by doing that...it might help relieve some of the anger and stress that i'm sure you're feeling right now.

we don't know enough about your situation to tell if your wife's behavior is PPD or something else, but i strongly recommend that you both seek some professional advice & attention first and then decide what your options are.

it's always a humbling experience when you hear about people [that you care about] having problems.

i hope you both come thru this alright. better times are ahead...it may not seem like it now, but you've got your health, some wonderful children, a big heart, and a good head on your shoulders. believe in yourself and let it guide you. "One step at a time, one day at a time". always remember that.

i wish you the best...i truly mean that.

[edit] i don't do skype but if you ever want to talk via yahoo IM, drop me a PM. that reminds me that i'll need to install the proggie on this machine. never installed it when this new box was configured. :o

Dang Mark sorry to hear of the problems. I hope things can smooth out for you and the family.

I had one bad day myself :( It started @ 7 AM when I heard something pop inside my XP2000 box. So I go over to check it out and open it up only to find 4 caps and a burn mark on the mobo. This is on a system on a UPS that showed no power faults. So I pulled the CPU/ram to stick in another board I have laying around that is known good, and no boot. So I tried different ram and still no boot. So I pulled the cpu again and tried it in place of my new XP2600 and still no boot. :( So not only did the mobo fry but the CPU did also. The ram worked great still in another system. Then I went out to the garage to find the 2 cases I mod had crashed to the ground ruining one and scraping the paint on the other :(. After the mail showed up with the XP2600 I mentioned above I decide to stick it in and fire it up but realized the HS/fan I had saved for it had been used in a clients computer so I had to use a crappy HS/fan and under clock the XP2600 down to 1.2 gig to keep it under 54c full load. I was also looking all day for a HS/fan for a system that was to ship today but will have to wait til tomorrow. I did fire up an 1.3 gig Duron in place of the XP2000 that had been crunching UD and added a remote P4 2gig last night.
