good pics...looks like a good time was had by all. brad, in that pool shot of yours, i didn't see much evidence of that pre-tanning prior to your trip....unless it was lost in the glare of the noon sun. :)
i signed the guestbook as well (pj_ka). there may be something wrong w/the guestbook because mine's was only the second entry.
cheerio.

Awesome! I am now envious of you guys. Now I want to go on a cruise.
How expensive are these trips these days?

Tammie and I are envious of your trip! We are wanting to do a cruise soon as Tammie has never been on one.

i think the cruise itself was about...hmm..i ll guess $700.00 each for a weeks cruise. Not including airfare. That includes all meals and entertainment aboard ship. All the shows are free, like musicals, comedians, magic shows, competitions(those are a blast to watch, probably more fun to particitpate in). They play bingo before each performance. 3 cards for 10 bucks.
For those so inclined, there is a massive casino, with all the usual games.
But let me let a few details out about the food. To put it simply,it was the very best I`ve ever had. Ever. Each evening there is a formal/semi-formal dinner where you get to sit with the same people each nite, like an assigned table. Of course, you get to know the folks at that table and around you. We sat with a couple from France. That was a challenge, but we still had a blast.Language barrier did get broken
this evening dinner was the ultimate in dining experiences for us.I cannot even remember any of the names of the entrees, but ,except for the lobster, everything was top notch. The waitstaff was supurb, also. We has a little fellow named TaTa from Bali wait on us every nite. What excellent service.
During the day,you could lounge on the deck beside one of two swimming pools and 4 hot tubs. Food was served all day by the pools till about 9 pm,then pizza was served all night, plus you could order room service 24/7.The quality and quanity of the desserts was orgasmic
Yep,we re gonna do it again next year. I ll look around for some pics of the interior of the ship. the dining rooms, the "Rome Lounge"where they had the shows, and the around 10 or so seperate bars/lounges were impecabbly maintained. There were two glass elevators that you could see all over the atruim when inside. The place was lit up like a Vegas strip. Curved stair cases, with lights on the steps.Shops where you could buy practically anything with the name Carnival printed on it. Plus constant picture taking by professional photographers. You didnt have to pay for any pics if you didnt want them.
Each evening you get a newsletter with all the goings on for the next day,and the times they are at. Every hour there is something going on,usually till late in the evening. And you have to fit in going ashore into the day, also. So there isnt much time for sleep. We were dead tired after the ATV thing,we needed a nappy :)
Our room was made up every day by the room steward Victor. He was a great worker. He got a good sized tip on our way out.He made those animals out of towels every nite while we were at dinner. Ruby sure got a kick out of that :)
Then there were all sorts of tours at the POC`s. We went swimming with stingrays, which I think was the highlight of our week. Each place we stopped had many, many things to do onshore. Or you could just go and walk around the villages. In Jamaica,it was a bit dangerous to go to the real village, they preferred that you stay in the main Ocho Rios tour village, which was still very nice. We passed thru the REAL village going to our ATV mountain thing.Wow,those people live very frugally.
Did I mention the food??
We highly recommend Carnival cruise line.We ve never been on another cruise before, but I cant see them getting any better than this one. But,for you older cruisers, dont go during spring break. The ship was a bit loud at night with the youngsters partayin. But if you do,on the upside, its BIKINI HEAVEN :)
Thats enough waffle. Bye for now,eh?

I wish I had some of the photo's still of the cruise I took with the ex-wife(she got them all)on the Expoler of the Sea's
My wife now get's to sea sick and with her other health problem would not be a good combo so it looks like it is going to be Aspen this year for vacation.

if she can fly, go to Cancun.
specifically the Myan Riviera area.
Very nice, get an all inclusive.
If you can afford it, I reccomend the Moon Palace Spa Resort.
We didnt stay there, but it was next door, and we visited for the time share deals (read free champain and two free excursions)
Very nice Adult only place.
ps, we were at the Barcelo Maya. Very nice 'self serve' all inclusive. Corona on tap for all! :chug:
YAAAAAAAAAY :chug:
hope you all enjoy em as much as we did taking em.(but i doubt it :) )

Thanks,BBA. I never saw those pics before.
The one of you sitting outside on the chair beside your room reminds me of our room. We had a room with a little "patio" like that one. :)
