Well been working on this new addition heres what i found so far.

600hz P3
384mb ram pc100
Mobo intel seattle II se440BX2 (4S4EB2X)
Phoenix Bios 4.0 realease 6.0 8/17/2000
CPU chipset I 440BX

Has 2 modems has lan card, has jaton video card. Need to do some more reasearch has some other stuff in it but havent figured out what it is yet.
Put my 1.2 gig hard drive in there with win 95 on it out of my old P1 and the sucker fired up and ran except the pci drivers arent there but it does run and operate.

Went to intel web site to get drivers but i cannot access them need to have some kinda of access code to obtain drivers.
It all sits in a NOBILIS ATX case

Don't know if these are what you need, but this is all I could find on Intels site.

Will Aida32 or Belarc advisor run on it, so you can find out what all is in it? Or at least geta good Idea of what is?

i would look into putting w2k on it if you have the cd. it's has enough horsepower and memory to run that os...

I would love to get on it, but sadly, Verona Missouri is a bit too far to travel out to load up an os.

:D

Seriously though, Win2k would do the job as would 98se. If I had the choice though, Win2K would be the way to go though - better ratings due to the taks management etc...

Well i have win xp pro or win 98se thats the 2 os's i have. Hard drive isnt big enough for win xp pro at 1.2 gigs.:)

A linux distro would run nice, though!! :D

Since it's only gonna be a cruncher linux would work well. Wouldn't need a GUI as you could admin it with webmin or something. :)

Would be better than win95, anyway. It's not hard to set it up, either. ;)

Cheers

Gona get me a kvm switch so i can share the monitor key board and mouse that'll save me some bucks. Its also got a tape drive in it and a light on 40x cdrom in it and a floppy. Still havent figured out why its got 2 modems in it and it looks like it has a parrell connector pci board init to aida shows a server board also.

It'll probably 2 network cards, not modems. Why do you say they are modems?? More likely NICs, unless they ran two modems to improve bandwidth. That's an old, old trick though, way before 2000, so I doubt that.

What kinda tape drive is it... the right kind can be pretty handy. :D ;)

Cheers

The reason i said modems is they have the small type wall plug in them. The tape drive is a seagate but thats all i know about it so far.:)
