IT spending will grow 7 percent in 2005, according to a new survey from Forrester Research.
The research, which canvassed 1,300 executives across various size and industry segments, will be good news for IT vendors who have lived through four lean years.
While the numbers are nowhere near IT's pre-Y2K halcyon days, they can still be eyebrow-raising. For example, content management (driven by Sarbanes-Oxley, among other factors) will grow 15 percent in 2005. Business intelligence (BI) will grow by 9 percent.
