Mine's a short list this year! :D

AMD AthlonXP 3200+ Barton (400 FSB) retail box with 2 - 512MB PC3200 DDR RAM. :P

I'll have ta' wait until I get my check from my Uncle's inheritance, so that won't be until sometime in late Jan. to Mar. 2005.

But, it's still on my Christmas wish list for this year. :P

Well, I want a pair of SMP capable PIII Tualatin's, please. Nothing fancy.... a pair of PIII-S 1.4GHz Tualatin 's with 512kb cache would do, thanks. :bunny:

They are rare as hen's teeth, so my Tualatin duallie board is going to waste with a single CPU, I'm afraid.... :(

Am just getting ready to set up my AMD duallie with dual XP 2000+'s modded to be MP 2000+'s :D

Merry Christmas everyone - I hope Santa brings ya what you really need!!

Cheers

Um, lets see?

All upgrades for my main rig!!!

nForce 3 250 based Mobo, doesn't really matter which brand, or whether Socket 754 or 939, or a new nForce 4 SLI Mobo, & a decent Athlon 64 CPU for either, 3000+ or faster.

Thermalright XP-90 HSF, with a 80mm to 120mm adapter & one of these, http://www.coolerguys.com/840556001133.html, or a Coolermaster Aqua-gate Cooling system.

512MB to 2GB DDR400 or faster, not sure which brand, but whatever is good for OCing.

Coolermaster CMStacker Case.

Maybe one of these to power my goodies!!! http://www.xoxide.com/coolmax-cr-550b.html

Definately a new Sound card, either M-Audio 7.1 or an Audigy 2.

If I got one of the non PCI-E mobos, then a 256MB 6800 Ultra. If I got the SLI enabled mobo, then two 6800 Ultra 256MB PCI-E cards. But would settle for the 6800GT's in PCIE & AGP also:D

Um, 4 of these & a RAID card that can support them, http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=100719-1, 2 WD Raptor 36.7GB HD's & a Single 74GB Raptor.

Um, Oh yeah that DVDRW CC is asking for.

And One of these for my very cool gaming rig If I ever actually got all this stuff, http://www.spartantech.com/product.asp?PID=VIVP2290B&m1=pg

Oh one of those new Verizon Fiber optic Broadband connections directly to the house, the $200 30Mb Packages prepaid for at least 2 years of service!!!:D

Also a Copy of Half-Life 2, Farcry, Need For Speed Underground 2, & a ton of cool gaming accessories, controllers, & other cool stuff!!!

Actually I'd be happy with just about anything on the list above!!!:D

but would also like to have all my debts paid off in full too, if the above is asking a bit much!:D

i want to build a DVR for christmas.. however, the checkbook says something like a mousepad :D

Also, maybe a wireless router.. & a couple wireless cards

Have to wait until tax time (feb '05) until I could build a complete system..

Roadtech:: those both look great! :)

Shyguy
12-14-2004, 1:37 AM
PQI RAM is nice, but I think the Mobo/CPU combo would be better, as its got onbaord sound & video, all you'd need is to add some RAM & a HD & you have a complete system (minus the case, PSU, Optical drive, etc of course).:D

But either would be a great gift.

I got a Networking (AAS) last May and this month, I'm graduating with Web Design (AAS), Gen Tech (AAS), Networking (CoP), Web Design (CoP). 5 Degrees in one year. :D
I might not be able to grant you a scholarship - but I could probably tell you how to get a grant or a scholarship - or both :D.

What are some good tech schools in the n.e. area?

Im looking for a degree in network securities, as i have found out a PC Tech is just not where the $$ is....

I want a dvd-recorder that uses a better standard than the normal one(possibly DivX). I would also like tracking software that helps me keep track of my recordings.

Mine's quite simple, really,

I'd like a cure for all forms of Cancer, and HIV/AIDS!
I'd like Peace between all, in the world!
I'd like an end to poverty and starvation!

Failing that, I'd just like everyone to be happy and get along!

:D
