Looks all good to me!!!

Good choice on the case!!! Ive got the Plus 1080AMG 2 years ago & still going strong, mine came with the 430watt True PSU, infact I am going to use the same case & PSU when I upgrade to A64 hopefully soon (currently a KT333 mobo with 4x AGP & a XP2200+ Cpu 768MB DDR333 & 9700 Pro). I'll be getting same Chipset (different mobo) & hopefully same CPU, though I may go for a socket 754 if I need to save a bit. Also just bought a Antec SP10W-AMG Side Panel Window from a guy over at [H]ard OCP to use in my rig being teh 1080's didn't come with a window, that'll be coming in in a few days.

You gonna run it all stock or OC it?

My PSU has gotten me through several Surges, poweroutages & other nasties, & keeps on chugging away, SO yeah they are pretty good, though I would like to get one with a bit more power, & targeted towards the OC scene. But May not have the moeny for that.

looks like you're getting everything off newegg - you might want to shop around - some things are cheaper elsewhere. www.pricewatch.com www.axiontech.com www.ebay.com www.buy.com - these are a few places I shop around for parts. Buyer beware - use whatever tools each site has to investigate private sellers. On ebay especially, look at ratings and never buy from someone with less than 99.3% positive ratings for hundreds of transactions unless you are willing to part with your money. Also - beware of low prices and watch for the shipping cost.

Next bit of advice I can give you if you are doing the assembly yourself. Give yourself a long weekend to do the build. Take your time. A rush job often means broken parts.

And if you should have compatibility issues, take out everything you don't need except the bare bones system components. Get those working - then add in the other stuff. In your list that would mean the sound card and dvd burner go in after the system is working.

BTW - did you notice that you bought a board with on board audio but you bought a sound card anyway?

next item - don't load all of the microsoft OS patches at once. Layer them on one at a time. reboot between them - make sure everything is still working - then go get another patch or two.... And if you really want to get anal about it - defrag your drive between installs. Remember that Micrososft patches are often built and verified on intel processors, not AMD chips.

Have fun - hope you don't run into too much frustration. And if something really funky happens - research jumpers and the system BIOS. Check out if the motherboard manufacturer has a bios upgrade on their website. With new boards, often a BIOS flash can correct that mystery issue you keep having.
