Great start to the week, just under 1.4 million points uploaded, great dumps, and a lovely set of numbers all round :D

I have a cold that is tearing me up, bad. But life goes on.

Got my GSkill RAM in ( 2-2-2-5@400 mHz, 2.5-3-3-7@550 mHz ). some badaz stuff. Put it in the s 939 system and am currently at 244 x 10 ( using a 3500+ Winchester ), but moving on. need to see what this system will do. Using the stock cooler right now, but the XP-90 ( and the OCZ DDR Booster ) came in today.

Well Not movin' fast points wise, but sure am Mollie wise, it was only last week I hit 9Mil Mollies, now today 9.5M!!!!

Waiting to hear back from a guy over at Anandtech, he's selling a HP e-PC C10 as is (Case, PSU, Mobo, IDE cables, No CDROM) doesn't seem to want to work right for him, but I did some research & may know whats wrong, so I figured I'd get it & try & fix it, if it works, I can stuff a P3 866 & a nice size stick of PC100/133 in it, if not I can use the case for that Mini ITX PC I want to put together. Either way its a win win situation for me!:D

If I have enough buckaroos left I may be able to pick up a 700MHz Celly from him too!!! If I can get that to work, then no need for a C3 based Mini ITX PC.


Hey guys, I got that HP Pavillion as a Client to the main rig, the other day I had to reboot the main rig, would that cause the Client PC to stall on a job? I went into the queue clicked hold it & released it, then reallocated it to the main rig? Is there a way to get the client rig to DL & start crunching a new job? i don't want to have to crawl under my desk & disconnect/reconnect the VGA cable from main rig to HP rig, just to quick get it to DL a new job, is there a way of doing this via the main rigs copy of think running?

If I DL a new job, then reallocated it to the HP would that do it?

Well, it's nice to be back! :confused: We lost power for a little over 6 hours last night due to the storm. Yesterday, we had 14 inches of snow dumped on us and they're forecasting up to another 12 inches today. :eek: We've gotten very little snow this year to this point . . . and now it all dumps at one time. :rolleyes: I'm snowwed in until I can get out and shovel the drive, I took the car out last night and had to plow snow with the car (AWD Honda Wagon). I was gone for 20 min. and plowwed snow coming back in the drive. Half an hour later, looked at the drive, looked at the car . . . . . and it ain't going nowhere!! :(

Well, I still have to go to the garage and get the rest of the herd up . . . so congrats to all! :D

Congrats to all the 'stoners and stuff! :bunny: I've now been crunchin' as long as my oldest child has been on the earth! :o :eek: What a thought! :D

Shyguy, if the client is only stalled in the server, just releasing that job should fix it. If not, and it's shut down FAD on the client, you'll need to reboot the client or something. This is where using a remote app like VNC comes into it's own. Suggest you set that up straight away (will mean crawling under the desk to attach monitor/keyboard for the last time). ;)

Been busy shopping for the needed bits for my two new duallies. The PIII 1.13GHz Tualatin duallie will have generic bits so I'm just waiting on one more PIII CPU of the same stepping (bloke I got the other one from has one), but I'm thinking about splurging on a couple of Athlon MP 2400+'s for the AMD duallie, and a big Antec Truepower 550W to power it to make sure it gets good juice. Decided against trying to mod XP's for it as I can't easily get 266MHz XP's anymore around here, and matched steppings will be hard to guarantee, so the more expensive options sounds wiser ATM... :)

it's only tuesday but i'm already wishing it was friday. gonna be a long slow week, i think. :( it's raining and chilly in nyc...ughhh! and that sure ain't helping my mood any.

that p4 mobo that i got from newegg last week...looks like i need to buy a new VC. i use matrox g400/450's in all my previous builds but the the mobo manual says i need a 1.5v agp card or it might damage the mobo. i contacted matrox tech support and the model #s that i have don't support the lower voltage it seems. need to find a decent but cheap dual-head card...

This one is dead and gone.
This was the board with the PSU I replaced on the weekend. Seems new PSU is gone, and I believe the cpu is toast.
Not sure about the board, ram or video card atm, but that's a 2.2 GHz cruncher gone until well after the new year.

GWT... I am sorry to announce, that I have had to retire all but 1 system that plum gave me. I am low on $$$ and had to sell of almost the entire herd to fund the rent, and so on... I will be back up and running sometime next year I guess, hopefully. Good luck to you all!

Update

Cpu is ok, and everything else appears to be working upon checking them out in a different board.
I guess it is the motherboard that is borked/caused it. 2 PSUs in a few days is a bad sign.

Strange, I wonder why it would fail.
It has only ran heavily OC'd it's entire 3 year life, and the past year that has been 24/7. :D
