Check out the attached pic...there's no hits on these. Doesn't even show 0. And when I try to upload them, they fail. EVERY time.

This is on the network install at my work...I'm wondering if it has to do with the version that my server is running? I don't think it's the latest...and if so, how would I go about upgrading it? lol.

Help! :D

Btw...as you can see I've tried every query and it's the same for all of em.

What version is it running, then? And why can't you just upgrade it automatically?? Doesn't it have a net connection?

Cheers
Mick

I'm pretty sure it's running 1.23c...and no it doesn't have a network connection. Well it does...but there's this stupid proxy server that I could never get around.

So I run it as a server, export the completed jobs to a special machine that can go outside the proxy server (this machine is running 1.25g btw) and then upload the jobs.

I remember seeing this on the fad boards somewhere, if it's running 1.23c then you could try putting fad on a floppy and upgrading it that way (Just install on top of itself)

I've tried installing again...problem is when it goes to overwrite the files it says that fadsetup.exe is in use....how do I turn it off? lol.

Not sure but would shutting down the queue server & also clicking on the FaD control panel then selecting quit, do the trick before you "upgrade"?

To be honest I'm not sure how to shut it down. lol.

Here's how I "installed" it. This was a trick that Mondo taught me...since XP can only have 10 connections at any given time, it wouldn't have worked out very to well install it on my machine. So I mapped a network drive to our fileserver and installed it there.

Soooo...I'm not sure how to shut it down...I'll take a closer look at it tomorrow. It's bed time for bonzo... :D

Hmmmm...it's not full. Just checked. :)

I'm wondering if I will have to wait until all the current jobs are completed before I can upgrade it? That's gonna suck.....

<sigh> Good news and bad news. Good news is...I think I got the problem fixed. Bad news is...I'm gonna have to go back around to everyones computer and re-add them.

Oh well I guess. So if my output seems lower then usual for the next week or so...you'll know why. :p
