On the downside, I had FaD uninstalled on a P3-800 this week cos the comp was running slowly and someone had a look and decided it was Think :rolleyes:

Not sure they got that one exactly right (I think it might be more likely to do with their 13yr old son and his ability to download spyware - I was fixin another PC that he uses last night and Ad-Aware found over 14,000 (thats not a typo!) things to remove :eek:. Wasn't there a virus released a few months back that coppied itself over and over? Think it must have been that!).

Anyway, gotta go!

Yup, I'm using FF and the reply box is really small.

For my remotes, the price of my maintenance and repair is running FaD. If they uninstall it or stop running it, no more free services. :)

The good news? It looks like Vb3 works OK with Firefox - at least TIMO's version does. So.... when Snowman upgrades, it'll be all good. :cool:

That'll be the end of the daily stats as we see it then :(

I have tried many many times to get the code routines to work at Timo, it plain just won't work. It appears that you can't put code routines inside a main code routine :(

You'd still have stats, but no formatting, and no colour or tables etc...

well, i got a pleasant surprise yesterday evening...one of my two newegg orders that i placed over thanksgiving came in a day earlier than expected. i ordered a cheap p4 mobo and hs/fan for a transplant job.

i had accepted a SFF IBM desktop in trade for some PC work a while back. i'm going to take the cpu (3ghz p4) out of it and use my last antec case for this build. not really sure what i'll be doing with it...was considering on replacing my dual p3 desktop but it's going to take a *long* time installing all my software on the new pc.

i've heavily modified the registry (i don't even remember all of the hacks i did to it since it's been 2 yrs since i first built it) on a lot of networking & system keys for better throughput & performance and also did a lot of customization for right-mouse clicks. then there's the question of whether i should put XP on it since i'm still a die-hard win2000 user. the only reason why i'm even remotely considering XP is because of the hyper-threading which according to MS works much better for XP than for w2k.

i can probably scrounge around and canabalize enough 512mb chips from some other PCs to get it up to 2gb. and yes i do need & use all the memory!...some databases that i run hog nearly 900mb of memory just for themselves and my available memory drops to <4kb free.
