I have LG CDROM and windows2000 professional. The problem is that I cannot see the contents of CD through windows explorer. Whenever I click on the CDROM icon it says "Please insert disk in the drive". But if I boot my PC in safe mode, I can browse CD in the windows explorer. Please tell me how can I fix this problem.

Welcome to XPC!
Just on a hunch... is the cd - something that you recorded?

What I mean is, is the cd something that was made in a burner or something that came prepackaged?

I think what CC is getting at is that if someone burned them for you, they may have been burned in the wrong format for windows to be able to read them.
Also try booting with the CD in the drive; does this allow you to see the files? If so then try disabling UDMA for the drive; Control Panel-System-Device manager, then uncheck DMA in the settings tab for the drive, reboot.

No the CDs were not burned. Please remember that I can see the contents of the CD when I boot windows in safe mode.
